I’ve always been curious about human brain when I first heard that we only use 5-10% of its power. I wondered why only 10%?! The more we learn about the brain the more complex it gets and less we understand. I think it’s a fascinating organ and I felt really honored to have this intricate machine in my body (larger machine).

From that point on, I became determine to learn more about my brain on a personal level. I wanted to study what triggers my emotions and why, and what made me make this decision over the other. By studying myself thought process closely, I started to understand others’ process better as well. Of course not everyone has the same system of thought but I feel like the wiring gets done pretty much the same. It’s probably because our fundamental needs are the same, but the order of events cause slight different wiring sequence. After some time, the pattern is there.

After understanding this pattern on a basic level, I kept on going on the path of possibilities. The real potential and possibilities of a human brain. How far can we really go?

I have this fantasy about being able to use 100% of the brain. People have different theories like being able to fly, maybe even teleport, and learn all the languages in the world and so on… I don’t know if we will be teleporting and all that stuff, although I would LOVE to have that power. I don’t know how it will look like, but I know for sure that the way we gather & process information will be much much different. “Information” will be a totally different experience for us. Will we live free of illusions? Regardless, I’m working towards upgrading my processing system so I will continue to seek for the clues each day.

I’m also looking forward to watching the new upcoming movie “Limitless” to see others’ ideas of what 100% brain usage look like lol.

It’s a real challenge these days to find something great to watch. It’s rare that we get the time to watch TV so we tend to choose our shows with some thought.

The one that caught my eyes a while back is “Out of the Wild: Alaska Experiment”. Actually my brother recommended it to me because he thought it was hilarious.

It’s about 9-10 average Americans from all over the country gets put in the middle of nowhere, in this case, Alaska, and they have to survive through the harsh side of mother nature and find civilization. These people volunteered to be on this trip, to escape their everyday rut and feel alive again.

We are by nature, wild beings. It may sound really nice to be lazy and not do anything crazy or physically active things all the time. But after awhile, we start to feel unfulfilled and something feels missing. We can all probably related in one way or another.

So the Alaska Experiment was really funny, and teaches you many things about surviving in the wild as a team. It’s not the most hardcore surviving show I’ve seen, but it’s entertaining and educational to say the least.

The new season that just started is taking place in Venezuela, and it’s really amazing to watch how people adapt and form leaders, as well as individual roles automatically. And trying to survive in the wild is not as easy as it looks especially when you’re used to comfort and luxury. I enjoy seeing this from time to time to remind me of the things that are truly important and most of all, who & what we’re here for. It’s truly empowering feel our real nature and the power of survival. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in this season and who makes it to the end.

Earth is so beautiful, but it’s an unforgiving place and it can be very hard for those who are not willing to step up. Every time I get a chance to see & feel this power of nature, it humbles me.

We had a big privilege to go on this trip with Pachamama Alliance to Amazon rainforest and meet the indigenous people who live on the land. Their mission is to empower indigenous people of the Amazon rainforest to preserve their lands and culture. Using insights gained from that work, they educate and inspire individuals everywhere to bring forth a thriving, just and sustainable world.

One of the most profound memories of these people is that there was no “lack”. Sure it can look like they don’t have much materialistic things from outsider’s point of view, but it’s clear that these people had no desire to chase after something that’s outside of themselves. If anything, they wanted to protect what they’ve been given from birth, their sovereign right.

It was breath of fresh air and quite a relief to witness beings that are living in total harmony with nature. These people did not have any concept of trash because everything can be used for something. Everything they eat & use gets recycled naturally. It was clear that we had much to learn from them, and sort of shocking how much we’ve forgotten to just be & live with this planet. It was quite humbling to be exchanging cultural ideas for several days.

Amazon rainforest and its people are going through a trial period with giant oil companies that are trying to drill through the nature. You can only imagine the pressure these tribes are going through just trying to protect their land. Thanks to organizations like Pachamama, they are holding up against the oil companies and gaining voice in courts, as well as governments.

Pachamama also worked with Ecuador to give Nature its first constitutional rights so that people can’t go around destroying it without any thought. We are thrilled to see groups like this coming out and really taking the stand in giving rights back to indigenous people and nature. We sure have a lot to learn from them so we need to do what we can to preserve their culture & knowledge.

Anybody believe in Big Bang theory? I certainly don’t. Just doesn’t make sense, it only sounds like something people made up to have a rushed conclusion on something that can’t be solved. Either way, when seeing something like this… A void in the middle of space that stretches for about 1 billion light years… it brings up more curiosity as to what type of space we’re living in.

What would happen if we traveled through that space in a ship? Complete darkness of nothing. Or is it?
